Avon, Colorado - March 1, 2023. Starting Hearts is pleased to announce the appointment of Jim Levi as the newest member of the Starting Hearts Board of Directors. Levi is division chief of emergency medical services at Red, White and Blue Fire Protection District in Breckenridge, Colorado.
Alan Himelfarb, Executive Director of Starting Hearts stated, “We are very excited to welcome Chief Levi to our Board. He is a great advocate for our mission and his background in public safety will make him a great asset to our organization."
Levi’s EMS career began at Breckenridge Ski Patrol and has spanned throughout the county to Summit County Ambulance, Summit Fire & EMS and Summit County Rescue Group. He serves on the Board for Central Mountain RETAC 2020-present and serves as the Chairman for the Summit County EMS Advisory Board.
Chief Levi remarked, “I am excited to collaborate with Starting Hearts and support the mission to improve outcomes from sudden cardiac arrest. As a Summit County public safety representative, it is an honor to serve on the Board for this wonderful organization and I look forward to helping improve cardiac arrest outcomes for citizens and visitors across the state.”
